ZC Contest 1: Dungeons

ZC Contest 1: Dungeons
The first Monthly ZC Contest is to design a dungeon.

The dungeon can be based on anything. It can be just a random dungeon, or it can even be part of a quest you're currently making. However, the demo that you provide should focus just on the dungeon (basically, people shouldn't have to play 5 hours just to get to the dungeon you're featuring Tongue ).

When you're finished with your dungeon, you may send 2 screenshots and a quest file to me. Smile All submissions will be due on Friday the 20th. It's a bit early just because of the short month.

Good luck! Smile

RE: ZC Contest 1: Dungeons
Huzzah! Something for me to do. No rules? Any version? tileset restrictions?

....and then I remembered I have little expirience with dungeons. Sorry, can't participate in this one.

RE: ZC Contest 1: Dungeons
I feel like entering, but it would slow progress on PoRC too much, and I would never end up finishing it anyways. Indifferent

RE: ZC Contest 1: Dungeons
Hypothetically speaking, could it be an unreleased mid-quest dungeon I've already finished that's part of a quest in progress?

Yeah... hypothetically... >.>

Yes, but like I said, the demo would have to focus on that dungeon, meaning you should give the player what they need, then start them in the dungeon. Players shouldn't have to play through 5 dungeons just to get to the one you're submitting to the contest.

Taking a quest and making it into a dungeon demo is just a matter of "fencing it off," so no problem. Smile

Um. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

RE: ZC Contest 1: Dungeons
I'm definitely taking part, dungeon's almost ready. Just have some bugs to whack and the music to decide on.

Just to make sure : ZC 2.10.2 is ok, right?

Save our Koopas!

Some tips for correct English.

I have started rating screenshots in our database! Please note - you'll usually get a 4 if I like yours. I only give out 5s on rare occasions.

I might try to enter this. Is 2.5 okay? 'cause that's all my computer will run.

RE: ZC Contest 1: Dungeons
No, the dungeon can be made before, though I would prefer it if the dungeon has not been released before.

And any version is fine, you'll just want to specify beforehand what version the quest is for.
