Welcome to ZCRealm (ZCR), a fan community for a program called Zelda Classic made by AGN in order for people to make their own Zelda-style games. However, over the years Zelda Classic has received numerous updates allowing scripting, side scrolling, and many other advanced features that make it possible to create games outside of the original Zelda style. Here at ZCRealm, we have the most advanced, up-to-date database for Zelda Classic resources allowing members to upload quests, screenshots, scripts, and graphics, and the forums allow for discussion of Zelda Classic and other things. ZCRealm is constantly updating to include new features such as the new MyQuestList section. I pretty much said it in this topic I posted on PureZC, but I suppose we never did officially spit it out on the actual website.

Zelda Classic Realm is dead.

LinktheMaster and I would like to thank everyone that stuck with us throughout the site's rather short lifespan. It was a fun experiment. We still feel something like this is needed on some level for the ZC community. We just wish it had worked out. We really do.

The content will remain on the site for now, but it will be wiped out in January of 2012. That's right. Zelda Classic Realm will be deleted in January of 2012. If you have anything stored on here you would like to backup, you have until then to do so.

LinktheMaster and I are honestly kind of tired of it sitting here mocking us at what could have been. I could make up a reason such as "the server space could be used for something else." It would even be a legitimate reason. However, ZCR never was about babying, so there is the straight answer.

I admit that we made several mistakes in the managing of this site. One of them was the fact that it was managed almost solely by two college kids that went between being extremely busy and being extremely lazy. If we had more help in our weak areas (especially advertisement), I feel things might have been salvageable.

But there is more to it than that and I feel I have to explain this.

I'm going to be moving to my new apartment, so sometime within the next day or so, Balrog will be offline until I get moved over and internet setup. I hope this won't be too big of a problem, and I thank everyone for their patience. I'll try to get it back up as soon as I can.

Anyway, ZCRealm has finally undergone the updates that I've hinted at in the chat room, and there's quite a bit of small changes as well as one fairly hefty addition to this site.

MyQuestList
First, I'll start with the big addition: MyQuestList. Some of you all are probably aware of sites like MyAnimeList and Backloggery, which allow you to keep lists of animes you watched and games that you're currently playing. MyQuestList is the same concept. You can add quests to your list that are either your favorites, quests you're currently playing, or quests that you've completed. The site will compile the lists of peoples' favorites, what other quests people are playing, etc. In your user CP, there is an option to add quests if you're a validated member. Otherwise, you may add quests by hitting buttons located in other peoples' MyQuestLists or in quest/demo submissions on the database (above the screenshots).



After you have added quests to your MyQuestList, you can actually create an image that will display the quest(s) you are currently playing for you to use on other forums and sites. These images are really customizable with there being some default options for sprites, backgrounds, and other things. You can add bo... [Continued in Topic]

After several weeks of me coding additions, fixes, and updates to the site, the site is now poised to be updated this weekend. Unfortunately this means that there will be some downtime in the process, so please keep that in mind when Saturday and Sunday roll around!

Today finally marks the first anniversary of ZCR... or as it started, Casual Zelda Classic. The site has certainly come a long way, and it looks entirely different from the original design, and a ton of new features have been added. And, while the site has had its ups and downs, it's still alive, and here's hoping that we'll manage to grow over these next 12 months. Thank you everyone who has helped out and stuck by this community.

Also, I have a list of changes I'm planning on making. I was hoping to make any additions to the chat bot Balrog as well make some changes to the way SOTW is shown. If anyone has any suggests for commands for Balrog or for any additions/changes to the site, don't hesitate to ask.
